Lorena Garay has just been awarded $9,978 through the Hartford
Business Development Grants for Artist Program (Round 2 of the 2011 Hartford
Arts & Heritage Jobs Grant), created by the City of Hartford, in
partnership with the Greater Hartford Arts Council!

At the Connecticut
Commission on Culture & Tourism’s board meeting on May 2, 2011, Lorena
Garay and her band, Surcari, were approved to join CCT’s New Directory of
Performing and Teaching Artists. Surcari have been on the roster of CCT since
2009!

Lorena Garay has
composed, recorded and produced two 15-track instrumental albums commissioned
by the international TV Sports Network ESPN: Latin Big Beat Sounds (2011) &
